Recent Projects

2006 saw the completion of three of Cass Hayward’s most prominent bridges:

leven viaduct Network Rail’s £14m reconstruction of 49 spans of Leven Viaduct completed in a 16 week closure (also pictured above).
Paddington Bridge The multiple award winning Paddington Bridge Project with the launched installation of the new station overbridge.
A249 Sheppy Crossing

The £30m 19 span Sheppey Crossing viaduct carrying the A249 over the Swale to the Isle of Sheppey in Kent.

Other recent construction completions include:

  • Network Rail bridge strengthenings of Earn Viaduct, Gaerlochhead Viaduct and Barbush Viaduct.
  • The skewed tied arch bridge for Newport St, Bolton
  • Reconstruction of Booth Road Overbridge, Audenshaw (pictured right)
  • Dutch River Swing Bridge in Goole
Cass Hayward is also part of the ECI Contract team for the reconstruction of the A34 Wolvercote Viaduct for the Highways Agency.
